CFMOTO Suspension Calculator

Calculate estimated suspension starting settings for CFMOTO 1000MT-X, 800MT-X, 800MT, 800NK, 700MT and 450MT with a teal, pink and white adventure/off-road style. Factory-chart based, adjusted by your real riding load.

Count directionSelect a model to see the correct count direction. 800MT-X/800MT and 1000MT-X are not counted from the same side.
Calculation1000MT-X, 800MT-X, 800MT, 800NK and 700MT use factory base weight points with interpolation between chart rows. 450MT stock is treated as 75kg base; rider weight changes estimated preload and damping.
Fine tuneIf bouncy, add +1 rebound. If harsh, reduce -1 compression. If rear sits low, add rear preload.
Real bike checkIf your bike has more/fewer clicks than the chart, never force the adjuster. Use the nearest available setting and test ride safely.

Important: count direction is not the same for every model

Many riders ask about this because not every CFMOTO model is counted from the same side. 800MT-X / 800MT / 800NK use the anticlockwise soft-side start, 1000MT-X uses the clockwise end-limit start, 700MT uses mixed front/rear damping directions, and 450MT uses S/H markings from the owner manual. Always follow the direction shown for the selected model.

800MT-X / 800MT / 800NK 0 = fully anticlockwise / soft side.
Turn fully anticlockwise first until it stops, then turn clockwise and count the listed value. Damping values are clicks. For 800MT-X front fork preload, treat the number as fork position/click count, not full turns. For 800NK, rear compression is not listed in the factory chart and luggage setups are estimated from the available solo/pillion chart rows.
1000MT-X Start from fully clockwise end/limit.
Turn fully clockwise to the end/limit first, then turn anticlockwise and count to the listed value. Do not mix this with the 800MT-X / 800MT counting method.
450MT Factory damping base is 10 gears/clicks. To restore factory damping, turn fully anticlockwise / S direction to the end first, then turn clockwise / H direction to the 10th click. Clockwise / H increases damping; anticlockwise / S decreases damping. Front preload: clockwise / H adds preload, anticlockwise / S reduces preload. Keep left and right preload mark lines equal. The official chart mainly changes rear preload and notes one-rider use; heavier load is an estimated starting point only.
Factory reference data used by this calculator

These are the base values used for the calculation. For 1000MT-X, 800MT-X, 800MT, 800NK and 700MT, load weight is matched to factory chart rows where available. The rough/bumpy road rows are shown as reference only and are not used in normal weight interpolation. For 800NK, luggage setups are estimated because the official chart only provides solo and rider+pillion rows. For 450MT, the official chart is based around a 75kg rider and three-box setup notes; the calculator gives a conservative weight-adjusted estimate while keeping the manual one-rider warning visible.

Disclaimer: This calculator is prepared based on official CFMOTO factory suspension adjustment charts taken from the official user manuals. The recommended settings are estimated starting points only and may not suit every rider’s preference, riding style, tyre setup, road condition, luggage load, pillion weight, or suspension wear condition. Always count the adjustment from the stated starting position in the relevant manual. Counting direction and actual click/turn range may differ by model, model year, market, suspension supplier or previous owner setup. Where possible, perform a proper sag check, test ride safely, and consult a professional suspension technician if unsure. Use at your own risk.
