Important: count direction is not the same for every model

Many riders ask about this because not every CFMOTO model is counted from the same side. 800MT-X / 800MT use the anti-clockwise soft-side start, while 1000MT-X uses the clockwise end-limit start. Always follow the direction shown for the selected model.

800MT-X / 800MT 0 = fully anti-clockwise / soft side.
Turn fully anti-clockwise first until it stops, then turn clockwise and count the listed value. Damping values are clicks. For 800MT-X front fork preload, treat the number as fork position/click count, not full turns.
1000MT-X Start from fully clockwise end/limit.
Turn fully clockwise to the end/limit first, then turn counter-clockwise and count to the listed value. Do not mix this with the 800MT-X / 800MT counting method.
450MT The factory chart gives factory setup, preload turns and 10-gears damping values, but the attached chart does not clearly show the damping count direction. Follow the owner manual or physical marking on your bike and do not force past the stop.
Factory reference data used by this calculator

These are the base values used for the calculation. For 800MT-X, 800MT and 1000MT-X, load weight is matched to factory chart rows. The rough/bumpy road rows are shown as reference only and are not used in normal weight interpolation. For 450MT, the official chart is based around a 75kg rider and three-box setup notes; the calculator gives a conservative weight-adjusted estimate while keeping the manual warning visible.
